The beautiful lakeside town of Riva del garda is much more than a piazza and a few stylish Italian boutiques. A scenic two minute stroll along the paved lake side footpath brings you to a long stretch of smooth pebble beach known as Spiaggia Riva del Garda.

Craggy blue-green mountains reach straight into the lake at this end, and the beach curiously spreads out in a thin, but long arc toward Torbole. Carry on the main road for another ten minutes heading south and you will come to Malcesine one of Lake Garda’s preferred destinations because of the cool breeze which slopes down from Monte Baldo.

Visit the old port of Torbole where you can enjoy some of the best windsurfing in Italy. There are many Surf rental shops for beginners and experts. Other towns to visit  even if it’s just for a relaxing stroll are the charming old streets of Limone and the castle a Roman Villa in Sirmione, both offer some of the most spectacular scenery this lake has to offer plus many quaint family run shops, restaurants and other attractions to keep you and your family entertained throughout your holiday.
