Versonnex is a small town with approximately 2000 inhabitants. The town is not considered a tourist destination but is better known to have its own valley stream where you can drink straight out of the valley. Versonnex's is considered a small farming village where some people commute from other towns to work.

Versonnex is located on the mid-eastern area of France and is close to the Switzerland border. WIth the first historical evidence of documenting Versonnex was as early as the 13th century under Versenay, while throughout the previous centuries it took on a number of different spellings (Versenai, de Versenayco, Versonnex, and finally Versonnex which was taken on since 1697).
