When traveling abroad, we always take our debit card and our credit cards. We like to have some cash on hand to buy food from street vendors and to pay tips.

But there is a new wrinkle in getting cash from ATM’s. Recently, debit cards have been the targets of international frauds, prompting banks to block out entire countries where these frauds occur most often. A recent article in Travel Sense states that some of the countries blocking ATM withdrawals with debit cards are England, Turkey and Greece, to name a few.
