For good reason, Öland, Sweden’s 87-mile long island is a favorite European vacation spot. With its shallow waters, sandy beaches, beautiful yachting and sailing harbors, and, of course, long, sunny, summer days, Öland is appealing to any visitor, including me. I found it enchanting.
