In this world, there are plenty of tourist destinations that worth every money. And when it comes about California in the United States, there is no comparison from my point of view. California offers every type of breathtaking attractions and Santa Barbara Californiadue to that, it holds many cities that are listed under one of the best travel destinations. This time, being a tourist, I went to explore the city of Santa Barbara with my family. To visit this great tourist destination there are many reasons. At first stage, I’ll say that the weather is nice for the entire year that makes it a well-known place to visit.

My three days in Santa Barbara is a real experience, which I have spent with my family and these memories will always flow into my mind forever. So let me tell you all about my three special days in California’s Santa Barbara. We went to this destination through Santa Barbara Airport, which is a busy airport serving the commercial and private planes. After reaching to the city early morning, we first arranged to stay and rest. There are plenty of hotels and other options where you can stay, as this is a well-known tourist destination. After taking few hours rest, we went to explore the city of Santa Barbara.

Santa Barbara ZooOur first sight was the animals at zoo living in the major beachfront property on the site of former Child Estate. We enjoyed the interactive exhibits there. When we went to the Santa Barbara Zoo, it was undergone renovations, so, didn’t get the chance to explore it. Besides renovations, the zoo was also increasing its power through adding play areas. Therefore, it is better if you check out the event calendar first to make your trip perfect. It was a real pleasure as we arranged a picnic at the site and satisfied our stomachs by having some light food. Once we got over, we continued our trip along the waterfront Cabrillo Boulevard to Chase Palm Park. Here we saw the Shipwreck Park playground and an operational antique carousel.

Oh! Let me tell you that a dinner on the pier upstairs at Longboard’s Grill or even at the Harbor’s Brophy Brothers Restaurant will offer you spectacular views of the harbor, and when time come for the sun to set, it’s simply amazing. While dining, my eyes stood still without blinking for a moment. The sunset was so appealing, that we all got fascinated. Well, our first day was proved marvelous. We went back to our hotel and took sufficient sleep because we were aware of the fact that the next day is gonna prove exhausted.

Next day early morning, we took some sips of coffee and planned to start our memorable day. Every Saturday there used to be a workshop. We thought to be a part of it as it was offered by the innovative environmental education and arts center. And when workshop was related with the environment, we should not miss it at any cost, as the world is suffering from Global Warming and we should co-operate with every measures. The name of the workshop was Art from Scrap. It was a morning workshop held from morning 10 to 12 on a number of themes. It was all about recycling the items (all items that could be reused) from Scrap retail store.

As there were three children in our family, we planned our trip that will make them busy and by the time will fascinate everyone. The Santa Barbara St. and Cota are a great place to buy some locally made products and other organic foods for picnic. I was feeling like we planned a picnic and so we are doing accordingly. However, it was more than that. We also tried some shopping activity at the Farmer’s Market, where the souvenirs are exceptional. Souvenirs include lavender scrub, jams, olive oil, and others. Moving further, few blocks up from Santa Barbara St., we got the Canon Perdido St. right on the border of the surrounding. It was a great day exploring the restored portion of Santa Barbara Presidio and the Historical Society Museum.

Ahead, we all took a glance of the first church of Santa Barbara and the neighboring little museum. What was more interesting is that we got chance to click pictures inside the museum, as taking pictures are allowed at the museum. This boosted our energy and made some evidences of our memories. If you are planning a trip to Santa Barbara, then do not miss out to have a lunch on State Street. It is a bit touristy place. Well, you will of course, found some excellent restaurants as well, especially when it is a tourist destination.

Santa Barbara Museum of ArtThe Santa Barbara Museum of Art, was the other spot to explore on the same day and we were very happy to enjoy the site and some other sightseeing attractions. Right next to it, there is a must visiting place called La Arcada. The next day, our plan was to wander the streets of the city, and by the time, exploring other various attractions. We were very curious to explore the entire city as much as possible. Rose Garden across the Santa Barbara Mission was our first sight where we went. It boasts magnificent views of the mission across the street and also spread the fragrance of the roses by the local volunteers with their huge collection.

Well, do remember to throw a coin in the fountain of this garden. I read some of the books as an overview at the bookstore, which was very interesting. Overall, there are plenty of scenic beauties and breathtaking sights in the city of Santa Barbara in California, but we thought to make it on our next trip and simply make some outstanding moments this time. Otherwise, the downtown Santa Barbara is filled with half of the attractions. In short, I could say that the city has everything for everyone.

At our last night, we enjoyed the sunset walk on Butterfly Beach on Channel Drive. It is a historic strip of upscale beachfront, which is a complete set of picturesque views of the Channel Islands and the Harbor as well. So, do not miss to do the same. And for dinner, the best place is Los Arroyos at 1280 Coast Village Road. It is a well-known choice for every local family.
