Sainte-Marie-du-Mont is a small village in the Manche region of Normandy, located in northwestern France. It was the site of a military battle between the American 101st Airborne Division and the German Wermacht on June 6th, 1944 (D-Day). Today, Sainte-Marie-du-Mont is visited by tourists of Normandy as one of the last stops in the region of Manche before setting off for Calvados. The town’s feature attraction is its towering Church of Sainte-Marie-du-Mont.
