At the present time the legal currency is Czech crown (koruna), abbreviated as KÄÂ, with the international abbreviation CZK. 1 crown consists of 100 hellers (halé…â„¢), abbreviated as hal. The approximate value of 100 CZK is 3 Euros

Transportation in Prague
Prague has a good transportation system that consists of a Metro Network of three lines, trams and Buses. There is also a funicular that takes you to the hill of Petrin, the lookout tower and Mirror Maze.

Tickets for these public transports are available from vending machines at each metro stop, but more economical tourist tickets are available that last for 24 hrs or up to 15 days. These are available at select Metro Stations, Department stores, and some hotels.

Taxis are also available. Your hotel will help you get a taxi.

Passports, Visas, etc.
On entering the territory of the Czech Republic, a valid passport with the minimum validity of three months is required.
EU citizens can also use their identity cards. Children up to 15 years of age
must have their own passports or they must be recorded in the passports of their parents. There is no need of an entry visa for most European countries, Australia, Canada, the USA and some other countries.

information.

Safety and Security
Like other large European cities, Prague is a relatively safe city, but to ensure your safety, please follow following recommendations:

• Exchange money only in the official exchange offices and banks
• Deposit valuables and larger amounts of money in the hotel safe deposit
• Don’t leave your luggage unattended
• Pay attention to your documents, credit cards, handbags, cameras, etc., especially in places there are lots of of people and in mass transportation vehicles.
• When leaving your car, don’t forget to lock it; don’t leave any valuables in the car
• Park in watched car parks
