As the name defines the mystical bird, Phoenix, the city of Arizona, Phoenix, has also made a mark in transforming into modern city! Phoenix, the sixth largest city in whole United States, has arisen through the mystical ashes of an ancient Indian village into metropolis city. No one thought Phoenix, originally an agricultural Indian village, would turn into States fastest growing urban centre. Because of its rapid growth, it was christened as ‘the valley of the Sun’. Desert Botanical Garden:
If you think cacti is strangest plant to keep at home, think again! This garden will change your perception about the cactus. The garden has variety of types of cactus that will amaze you and plus the visitors have a memorable time by the innovative ways that garden gives. It is a huge garden with twenty thousand plants, including one hundred and thirty nine types’ species. The garden is full of different types of cactus and other plants, which are found in Arizona Desert. During November and December, the garden is lit up by the candle and luminaries lights, which make the garden alive.

Heard Museum:
The museum will give you insight of the Native American Art making and original inhabitant of the west, which is also America’s finest collection. The museum has around thirty nine thousand works of cultural and fine art, which includes pottery, katsina dolls, jewellery, baskets, textiles, paintings, cradleboards and sculpture. Total there are ten galleries with very imaginative and dynamic guide. Every year, in March, Guild Indian Fair and Market is held, including traditional dance and arts and crafts. The Echo Canyon Trail and Recreation Center:
The trail should be easy for an experienced and only who is physically fit should try going to his trail. The trail is very popular among tourists and offers stunning view of Phoenix from the 2700 feet peek and the trail approximately one mile long. During the hike you will also get see the amazing plant life and wild animals around the area. It would be better to talk to the park ranger before starting the hike.

These are few of the most visited places in Phoenix but except these, there more places such as The Rosson House, which is build in Victorian style in wild west place; Camelback Mountain, its 1400 feet high from where you can see the whole city of Phoenix; Mystery Castle, built in 1930 and is made out from granite, recycled bottles and bricks, and many more.

Although Phoenix is a winter destination, the nightlife is not much known. But there are many places where you can hang out after dark. If you want watch game with some fun, check out the a sports bar like Majerle’s, to shake your legs on live music go to places like Rhythm Room and Char’s has the Blues played. The city being urban city, it has many new opening of cocktail lounges like Amsterdam, Merc Bar and Wright Bar for sophisticated fun with martinis. Hard Rock Café and Rock Bottom Brewery are also to be found in Phoenix, which is well known for atmosphere, food and beverages.

Sky Harbor International Airport is the main airport in Arizona. It is towards east of the Phoenix which is five kilometers at distance. There are other two alternatives airports: Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport and Phoenix Deer Valley Airport. The airport is well connected to two Valley Metro Bus shuttles and cabs.

Valley Metro only operates in weekdays, all over the valley. The travelers on the shuttles can pay the fair through credit cards. You can even tour around cities popular sight s such a Grand Canyon that is around fourteen hours tour. Try riding in the horse carriage while touring in Town Scottsdale.

If you are driving around the Phoenix and desert, carry a handy map as Phoenix has large network of freeway. And some are under construction so first find out those roads or you will get stuck or waste time in turning back to another road.
The roads are simple to navigate and way out are well marked. Street-level blocking usually is not a trouble apart during rush hour or around Arizona Mills Mall.
