What is more fascinating is that more than 2 million people attend this festival a year. The electric atmosphere, diversity of shows and by the city attractions due to which it is a well-known tourist destination, attracts these people. More over, the festival brings groups of artists from all over the world. Slowly gradually, the Montreal Jazz Festival is increasing the number of people visiting to enjoy this occasion. During the festival, the downtown core of the city remains closed to traffic for ten days so that the outdoor shows could be made free to the public.
