James Joyce Pub and Restaurant

image1.jpgDecorated with James Joyce memorabilia and serving Irish (and French) pub fare, we think that you will enjoy this bit ‘o Ireland in Paris. The pub has 12 stained glass windows, which were commissioned especially for the James Joyce by Ireland’s foremost stained-glass artist, Bill Earley. These windows tell the story of Ulysses chapter by chapter. Other stained-glass windows feature Irish literary giants of the twentieth century.

The Hideout
Often the liveliest Irish Pub in Paris, The Hideout bills itself as the Young Irish Pub. Good selection of relatively cheap beers and a lively CD selection make for a good atmosphere. They offer Kronenbourg 1664, Kilkenny, and Guinness and more, plus ciders on draught. Live music on weekends makes this place live up to the hype.
