Boulder Dash

Boulder Dash has many qualities that you are looking for in a roller coaster. It’s got a smooth ride, promising hills and speeds that are pretty sure to have you screaming by the midway!

This place is about two hours drive from New York City. This park draws a lot of families and it has many perks for example; one of them is the free unlimited soda that all members can avail.

The lake Compounce has been loyal to the local people. It always wanted to create something that would put this park on the world map. This is why, in the later part of the nineteenth century, the park officials along with engineers from custom Coasters international, built a wooden coaster right into the nine hundred foot rocky mountain. this coaster trail lies to the rear end of the park.

The manager of the park said that they had to drill deep into the park and anchor the foundation of the roller coaster there.  The project took an entire year and a half to construct the Boulder Dash. The engineers have used eight layers of southern yellow pine to build the track.  The track finally opened in the year two thousand.  The track is mostly hidden from your general view.  Although, small parts of these can be viewed from the trees. Although the ride is built in such a way that you wouldn’t really know where you are actually headed.

The coaster ride can’t really be described accurately. You have to actually sit on it to know exactly how it feels.

The first lift goes high and then drops right into the wood where you have no clue about where you are going to.

The first drop is about one hundred and fifteen feet. The path banks heavily and leads into a series of hills and curves that go along the mountain terrain.

The other aide of this is the trees and rocks that surround this path.  The rides are not more than ten to twelve feet from the ground, although it feels as though you are high up in the air. Boulder dash reaches spreads of about sixty five miles per hour.  This is probably faster than many steel coasters.

The track finally pops out of the trees and goes along a road that is near the lake alongside the park. If you are just a spectator then you may as well watch the show from here, the coaster finally goes around a few hills before it comes back to the station.
