Traveling in between the water is wonderful experience that always fascinates every tourist in the world. And when it comes about visiting a place to explore its major attractions, I think traveling by a cruise or ship is the best option. So this time, as I love to travel and experience various places, I went to Yuma which lies in the Southwest of Arizona, United States. The population here is more than 77,515 and increases during the season of winter as visitors make it their winter residence.

Yuma is located close to the border with California which is in the west and Mexico in the south. Yuma was first found by a European in the year 1545 and today it has been one of the well-known tourist destinations in the world. After discovering the city of Yuma it was found that a natural crossing of the Colorado River was a perfect spot for a city. Well, as this city is among the hottest cities in the United States with average temperatures in the month of July rises to 42 Degree Celsius and in January the temperature remains at 21 Degree Celsius, tourists can enjoy the sunny climate year round and make it among the best tourist destination. As per the Guinness Book of World Records, this city is the sunniest place on earth.

So, as I went to enjoy the sunny city of United States, traveling by water will give me enormous pleasure. After reaching at Yuma I spent a week exploring the city and its attractions. The major attractions increase due to the closeness of the city to Los Algodones, Mexico and its supply of cheap pharmaceuticals, eyeglasses and dental work. Mostly everyday you will get line ups to reach inside the parking lot at the border where thousands of people walk into the carnival or flea market. These people are none other than the Algodones who are the cotton pickers.

The flea market is perfect spot for shopping, so try this activity where hundreds of professional vendors set up their shops and shelter it by high permanent metal roofs. Our first two days went on experiencing shopping, wandering around and also enjoying the food at various restaurants in the city. There are plenty of fine restaurants so try the speciality of Yuma to get the delicious taste. The third day was a great day for me and my friends in Yuma County which was achieved its county seat in the year 1864. To say it was a great day includes few of the attractions where we visited and really had a great time and they are the historical Territorial Prison, and the Yuma Crossing Historic Park.

On our fourth day we enjoyed few other great places like the Kofa Mountain Range and Wildlife Refuge and Martinez and also the Mittry Lakes. This entirely fascinated us as we also enjoyed few of the activities like hiking and skiing. Yuma has a popular sport which is hunting, but the country offers a number of various types of game. Visiting the major rivers of this county will give you pleasant environment and beautiful waterside. For that the Gila River and the Colorado River are the best. So those who love to enjoy water and its activities can head to these rivers and have fun.

As this county is a well-known tourist destination you will get plenty of options for accommodations. After enjoying most of the attractions in Yuma County we went back after a week but still our mind and soul are living at those breathtaking sights. Spending holiday’s at Yuma County has proved the best and so those who are planning to visit this place should know about it a little. So firstly, check out whether you need a visa or a valid passport is sufficient from your nearby embassy. Well, do not forget to visit the two major attractions of this county which are the Territorial Prison and the Yuma Crossing Historic Park.
