Piping Live
This week-long celebration of piping culture offers everything from traditional Piobaireachd to contemporary bands, all lined up to represent the international world of piping. Held in Glasgow in August, the Piping Live celebration has free events in George Square including: a display from the Edinburgh Military Tattoo , three days of family events at the National Piping Center, and a full week of amazing evening events at venues around the city, including the Gaelic Concert and the return of the After Worlds Shindig.

Edinburgh Military Tatoo
edinburgh-military-tatoo-2.jpgIn August 2011, the Edinburg Tatoo’s celebrates its Diamond Jubilee. Set against the world famous backdrop of Edinburgh Castle, the Edinburgh Military Tatoo brings performers from over forty countries playing, marching, and dancing in the floodlit night. Every night is a spectacle with fireworks topping off the displays.


Whisky Festival
