First Arrondissment
The 1st Arrondisement is in the very heart of the city. It is walking distance to most tourist sites and therefore is more expensive. Some fabulous hotels are located here; but we have found a few less expensive gems as well.

Hotel Cambon

Hotel Royal Saint-Honore

The Second Arrondissement is in the heart of Paris close to everything including the Louvre, the gorgeous Opera Garnier, fabulous shopping and great restaurants.

Hotel Westminster

The hotel restaurant “Le Celadon” is renowned for its outstanding French cuisine. The staff is very friendly and efficient. We stayed here recently and found it a pleasure to return to our little piece of heaven after a full day of sightseeing.

4th Arrondissement

The Fourth Arrondissement lies along the Seine and on the Ile St. Louis. It is near Notre Dame and the Hotel du Ville. A lush and beautiful area known for its beautiful bridges (ponts).

Hotel Villa Mazarin

5th Arrondissement
The fifth Arrondissement is located on the left bank (rive gauche) with views of Notre Dame and proximity to the gloroius Luxembourg Gardens. Don’t even consider leaving Paris without a stroll through the Luxembourg Gardens.

Relais St. Jacques

The sixth Arrondissement is also known as the Latin Quarter because the Sorbonne where students studied Latin at one time is in this area. A colorful neighborhood, the Latin Quarter is made up of winding cobblestone streets lined with little shops and restaurants.

Enjoy the fireplace in the lobby in winter or the lovely interior garden in summer.

7th Arrondissement
The seventh Arrondisement is known as St-Germain-des-Pres because the church of that name is a landmark in the area. Great for shopping and eating, this area is lively and lovely.

We just returned from three days of pampering at the K and K Cayre. Set in the heart of St-Germain-des-Pres, it is walking distance to the Latin Quarter, Invalides, the D’Orsay and Rodin museums. It is a luxurious boutique, left bank hotel in Paris, combining modern design and state-of-the-art technology with individual charm. Our room had a fantastic view of the Eiffel Tower.
With individually adjustable air-conditioning, sound-proof windows, satellite TV with international channels, ISDN direct-dial telephone with voice-mail, safe, mini-bar, coffee & tea making facilities, free Internet access in all rooms, electronic door lock, and working desk in most rooms makes it perfect for leisure or business guests. The fully equipped, luxurious black marble bathrooms with hair-dryer and underfloor heating are what won me over. Non-smoking rooms are available.

9th Arrondissement
Home to the over-the-top baroque Opera Garnier, the ninth Arrondissement is a mixture of business and pleasure. The financial district is here as well as some wonderful restaurants and touristic sites.

The 11th Arrondissement is set near the place de la Republique and the Bastille. It is close to the Marais and is still considered central Paris.<

18th Arrondissement
The eighteenth arrondissement, best known for Montmartre which was the center of the flourishing artist community from around 1907 to 1914. Picasso, Dali, Duchamp, Toulouse-Latrec, and others lived and worked here. The 18th is also the home of a thriving ethnic community in the east and a seedy red-light district along Boulevard de Clichy near Place Pigalle.
