Situated in a central location alongside the Amstel river, this is one of the most beautiful hotels in Amsterdam. Tour boats drift past, allowing tourists to admire the reflection of the beautifully lit hotel in the waters below.  There are two restaurants and a bar terrace overlooking the water. Hotel Pulitzer
This architecturally interesting hotel in Amsterdam’s Jordaan neighborhood, consists of several canal houses connected by a wonderfully landscaped courtyard. The hotel has been featured in several movies and each room has distinctive features, such as wood beams or old brick walls. Amenities include free daily newspaper, turndown service, rooms with sitting areas, and 24-hour room service.

The Barbizon is in a busy area, sitting opposite Centraal Station and the red light district immediatly behind it. The interiors of this large hotel, however,  are calm and peaceful, with an excellent gym/spa found in the lower-level.  Rooms include coffee/tea facilities, TV, minibar, and toiletry kit.

This wonderful hotel is steeped in history, as the building was home to the first Heineken brewery. Naturally, the hotel today is in an excellent location and has wonderful period furnishings and a very popular bar/restaurant.  Rooms have TV, internet, and radio.

One of Amsterdam’s most trendy hotels, this is an accommodation with cutting edge interior design.  The location is just steps from the Dam Square, a very central and easy to find spot. In this very central location, the Di-Ann is housed in a historic canal house built in the 1700s.  Some rooms feature canal views; all rooms have wireless internet, TV, and refrigerator. Breakfast is served in a beautifully decorated dining room with an outdoor balcony.

Bicycle Hotel
This cute and cozy hotel is located in De Pijp, one of Amsterdam’s most bohemian neighborhoods. With good rates on bike rental from the hotel itself, it is a great location from which to explore the city on two wheels. All accomodations include wireless internet and a healthy breakfast.
