Find the Best Vacation In England

The weather may be a little unreliable and the fortunes of pound sterling inconsistent, but there is nothing to beat a vacation in England. Being British myself, I am of course somewhat biased! The best thing about England is its sheer variety. There is history, culture and natural scenery with a mix of fascinating cities, coastal spots and countryside. It’s also possible to see a lot in a short space of time.

The capital is a top destination and deservedly so but it would be a shame to ignore other parts of the country. If history is your thing, there are other cities steeped in it, such as York and Canterbury. England is known for its cathedrals and those two cities have wonderful examples. Many towns have fine examples of Medieval, Edwardian and Victorian architecture. A vacation in England has many opportunities to be a culture vulture, with some of the finest ballet and opera companies in the world. Shakespeare devotees will love Stratford on Avon, where the Bard first staged his plays. Actually I take a vacationinEngland as often as possible myself.
