Iran, Tehran, Milad Tower

Teheran (also spelled Tehran) is the capital of Iran. With about 10 million residents, it is by a wide margin the nation's largest city. It is situated at the foot of the Elburz Mountains in the northern part of the country. A caravan town before 1910, Teheran has since developed into a modern industrial and commercial city; many of its newer areas have a distinctly European layout.
