Dublin – a city of and for the young and young at heart – is a party paradise. No matter where you stay, you are not far from the action. Dublin has a great stock of hotels at every price and style. Here are some of our suggestions for great accommodations in Dublin.
5 Star
The Dylan
Located in a vibrant and fun part of central Dublin, the Dylan epitomizes the careful balance between old world Irish values and the modern charisma of Dublin. Every room in the hotel is individually styled; facilities include high end furnishings, comfort bedding, complimentary WiFi internet, minibar, complimentary shoe shine, and foot spa upon request. The on-site bar and restaurant is trendy and popular.
Westbury Hotel
Well located in the heart of Dublin, the Westbury Hotel Dublin gives visitors direct access to the shopping of Grafton Street, the theater district, plus major museums and historical sites. The rooms are comfortable and well designed in a modern style.
Conrad International Dublin
Just steps from the lovely Saint Stephens Green, on a quiet street, is home to the Conrad International, one of Dublin’s most luxurious hotels. The on-site restaurant specializes in seafood and there is, of course, a traditional Irish pub as well. All rooms include high-speed internet access, a spacious marble bathroom, bathrobe with slippers, and minibar.
Fitzwilliam Hotel
Elegant with a contemporary design – are just a few of the words typically used to describe this grandiose hotel. Centrally located on Saint Stephen’s Green, every room includes complimentary internet, fresh flowers, high end bedding and linens, drench showers, H2O toiletries, and complimentary mineral water. A Michelin-starred restaurant, luxury spa and salon are also on-site.
3-4 Star
Adams Trinity Hotel
Conveniently located between Saint Stephen’s Green and Trinity College, the Adams Trinity is a great value for the money. Oozing with Irish charm, the staff are extremely helpful and friendly and the rooms are comfortable. Facilities include internet access, TV, ensuite bathrooms, and coffee/tea making facilities.
Arlington Hotel
Although known for being somewhat loud and boisterous, the atmosphere at the Arlington is a genuine Dublin buzz. The traditional pub downstairs is a very popular one, and Irish music and Irish dancing is served up alongside the tasty food in the bistro. Some rooms have views overlooking the River Leffey, but all feature power showers, king size beds, TV, coffee/tea making facilities, free Wifi internet, ironing board, and writing desk/chair.
1-2 Star
Castle Hotel
One of the oldest operating hotels in Dublin, the Castle Hotel is not a castle but a wonderfully maintained Georgian townhouse. The hotel is centrally located not far from Temple Bar; the atmosphere is cozy and the hotel is managed by a friendly and welcoming staff. All rooms have ensuite bathrooms and coffee/tea making facilities.
Dergvale Hotel
The Dergvale is a family-run hotel with easy access to all main Dublin attractions. The hotel is styled in old world décor and architecture while serving up an equally traditional but very tasty Irish breakfast. A bar is available on-site; rooms feature TV, ensuite bathrooms, and wake-up call service.
Fitzsimons Hotel
On the banks of the River Liffey in bustling Temple Bar, the Fitzsimons is in the middle of the action. Thus it is no surprise there is both a bar and nightclub in the building. Some rooms have balconies overlooking the river and Temple Bar, and breakfast is included. Staying in areas such as Temple Bar requires high energy and a tolerance for action. If you are looking for peace and quiet, try another area.
